Paramedics working in primary care are able to assess, diagnose and treat patients for a range of conditions. Paramedics are also highly skilled at carrying out home visits to assess and treat housebound patients. They work alongside the primary care team with the support of GPs and can achieve additional qualifications to prescribe independently and develop special interests in long term conditions.
